Innovasjonssenter Flekkefjord

The situation of the east-side of Flekkefjord today indicates a major under-developed area. The project seeks to find an interpretation of housing, culture and commercials as a program, and of solitary and lamellas as a typology. This approach opens for a redefinition of today's east side in Flekkefjord. The structure allows a higher density and helps to create a centre to survive against malls and other large commercial projects.

An innovation-centre has been introduced as a hub of the new eastern part of the city. The building offers both public and private activities that can create urbanity around the clock. The volume is mainly divided into three parts: a "backbone", a western and an eastern volume. Each programme is divided on how often each function is used and its needs for energy supply.
